IT Governance Specialist

Smart Oasis requires an IT Governance framework to ensure security, compliance, efficiency, and alignment with business goals.

Job Summary

The IT Governance Specialist ensures that the organization’s IT systems and processes align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. This role is responsible for establishing governance frameworks, monitoring compliance, and driving continuous improvement in IT operations to enhance efficiency, security, and value delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  2. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, etc.) and organizational policies.
  3. Conduct regular audits of IT processes, systems, and controls to identify and mitigate risks.
  4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications in IT governance, risk, and compliance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, CISM, CRISC) are highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum of [3] years of experience in IT governance, IT compliance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in implementing governance frameworks and conducting IT audits.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, GDPR, SOX) and industry best practices.
